Unicorn Class - Year 1
Welcome to our Year 1 webpage. In our class we enjoy learning through our play both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage an active, hands-on approach to learning including construction, creative role play, games, puzzles, Computing and Forest School to support our learning. All our staff are committed to nurturing and caring for each child and ensuring that they reach their full potential. We 'Achieve, Aspire and Care for one another!'
On this page you will find useful information including a timetable, newsletters and overviews of our topics as well as useful websites and photos of our activities.
As of next week (21.9.20) Year 1 will now need to come in their PE kit on Tuesday and Thursday.
Here are some photos of our classroom so you know where your child spends their day. Hopefully we will be able to welcome you in soon!
Year 1 Learning
As most of you are now learning at home I would like you to access your home learning on Seesaw, where you will find a range of activities to complete each day. Most of you have done this already! Some of the activities need to be completed on line, but others can be completed on paper or in their exercise books once you have read the instructions.
Please try to login to Numbots and Spelling Shed for 15 minutes each day. Click on the letter below for lots of other ideas of things to do at home. There is also a home learning timetable below that might help you to structure your week.
Remember it is also important to do lots of physical activity, play games and get creative! Most importantly, have fun!
Take care and we hope to see you all back in school very soon.
You can still email me if you have any questions as well as using Seesaw. Please send to firstname.lastname@example.org
At this time we know your children might be spending more time online than they might usually do. It is important that we remind them about how to keep themselves safe online and what to do if there is a problem. Click on the links below to visit the Think U Know website and to read a parents guide.
